The South Carolina District of the Assemblies of God is part of the world's largest Pentecostal denomination with some 57 million members and adherents. But numbers fail to tell the real story, and statistics alone can never relate to real human needs. People who need help in coming to know God desperately need someone who cares. And that's the message of our Fellowship. Because Jesus genuinely cares for people, the Assemblies of God is made up of people who care.

We are committed to honoring the following seven values…

The Spirit’s Empowering Presence
We value being Spirit led and understand that He enables us to be and to accomplish all that he desires for us.  Zechariah 4:6

Servant Leadership
We value servant leaders who embrace an attitude and a belief that they best serve the kingdom by raising up other leaders to serve.  II Timothy 2:2

Cultural Relevancy and Adaptability
We value diversity and express this value in our dealings with others without imposing our methods or traditions on them that would cause them to resist our efforts.  I Cor. 9:22

A Progressive, Permission Giving Environment
We value an environment that enables people to succeed with minimal parameters. Eph. 4:16 (Amplified)

Being Innovative, Spirit Directed Risk Takers
We value people who are willing to follow the leadership of the Spirit and boldly exercise their faith.  Without faith it is impossible to please God. Heb. 11:6

Authentic Community
We value a community where people can feel safe enough in the presence of mercy and grace to stop pretending that they are doing better than they really are.  Acts 2:42-47

Measurable Productivity and Fruitfulness
We value faithfulness that is measurable in the elements of productivity and fruitfulness.  We believe that anything that is healthy will be productive and fruitful.  John 15:8

Our Slogan
Serving those who serve others.

What to Expect When Visiting an Assemblies of God Church:  Variety...that's what you'll find when you visit our services. But one thing you should expect in every Assemblies of God church is a personal, uplifting worship experience. Our services are geared for participation. We typically worship as we live, with enthusiasm.

The Assemblies of God has its roots in a religious revival that began in the late 1800s. In 1914 both preachers and laymen gathered from 20 states and several foreign countries for a 'general council' in Hot Springs, Arkansas. For extensive historical and archival information, visit the Flower Pentecostal Heritage Center.

The Assemblies of God is a member of four national and international Christian organizations. These include the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE), the Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches of North America (PCCNA), the Pentecostal World Fellowship (PWF), and the World Assemblies of God Fellowship (WAGF). The church's leadership also participates in many sub-groups of these organizations.

The Assemblies of God is not affiliated with either the World Council of Churches or the National Council of Churches.
