What Do You Fear?

In order to be a people of faith, we must daily be immersed in the Scriptures. There Christ assures us with HIS presence. In the STORMS OF LIFE Jesus says: "Take courage. It is I, Don't be afraid." Matt. 14:27

Two kinds of fear:

1. Fear of getting out of the boat

2. Fear of staying in the boat

He goes on to say, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

Have you ever found fear knocking at your door? Sure, we all have! The answer lies in how are we going to answer that door? Will we answer with fear gripped in our soul so much that we are frozen and can't move and just let the enemy zap us! Or, are we going to answer the door with faith, believing that God is with us and no weapon formed against us shall prosper. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power, sound mind.

Finally,

I like Acts 18: 9, 10 - "Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For, I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city." 

What assurance I find in these words!
