Teen Challenge is a faith based ministry reaching out to those struggling with life controlling problems resulting from substance abuse.  This is a one year residential program designed to assist our students mentally, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually as they find a new way of living through Jesus Christ.  

Teen Challenge endeavors to offer this help without charging a daily cost to the family.  This is possible by setting up a one time entrance fee of $750.00 along with requiring the student to have a medical exam completed prior to entry.  When those two items are complete there is the need for transportation to be covered in a round trip arrangement.  The rest of the cost is covered by various forms of support while the student is in the program.  Families may share in the cost by making regular donations, friends may come along side the family to say they will help or employers could be encouraged to make an investment in a person's future.  There are many ways to help.

We do our part in making this work by reaching out to area churches, businesses, civic clubs and friends to raise the necessary funding to meet budget demands.  The student is also involved in this process as part of his recovery by working in one of our work training stations as he earns his way through Teen Challenge.  By putting what he learns in the classroom to work in the shops, we attempt to give him skills that will carry him through life as a succesful individual.

The goal of Teen Challenge is to send our students back into society as productive individuals who will become contributors in their community, their work places and churches.

A beautiful 20 bed log cabin facility is under construction in Georgetown County where we will welcome male students who are 18 years and older with a desire to change.  The facility is located on 45 acres in a rural setting near the Great Pee Dee River on Highway 701.  For those using map searches or GPS devices, we are located at 20515 North Fraser Street Georgetown, SC.

An Administration Office and Activity Center is complete while the work on the dormitory is progressing well.  This has been accomplished with the help of dozens of volunteers and donations from many concerned friends of this ministry. 

At this time, we are serving as a crisis referral center assisting potential students in their quest to enter the residential program.  It is our privilege to interview and provide valuable help to those seeking detailed information about Teen Challenge.
